So far, this is just a vision.
My vision is have a utility on this site that will allow users to sketch out a scenario by placing player, referee, and ball icons on a field diagram at several time points in the scenario, and then smoothly transition from one time point to the next.
We have had a number of discussions on SocRef where the text descriptions, even with text “graphics” have allowed the discussion to wander around as everyone interpreted the description in a different way. Hopefully this utility would reduce that sort of confusion.
Until I get that far, you might want to check out my offside animation series for a simple demonstration of the types of movement one should be able to produce.
