Aussie Rules Football, which uses the much larger Cricket pitch (a 180 meter x 150 meter oval) and a larger number of players (18 per team), is a distant relative of Rugby
  1. In Aussie Rules, you can't throw the ball, but you can make a "hand-pass" (use one hand to bump the ball out of your other hand)
  2. You can run with the ball, but must "bounce" (akin to a dribble, but much more difficult with an oblong ball) every 15 meters
  3. If you catch the ball from a kick before it hits the ground, you take a "Mark", which gives you a free kick from that position
  4. A kick that travels between the middle goalposts without hitting the posts or any player is a goal (6 points).
  5. If the ball is touched before it crosses the touchline between the middle goalposts, or is between a middle goalpost and an outer goalpost, you score a "Behind" (1 point)
  6. Team scores in the 100-150 range are common
